Lion's Mane recipes

What is Lion's Mane?
Lion's Mane is an edible mushroom known for its unique appearance, resembling a flowing white mane. It has been traditionally used for centuries in East Asia, mainly China, and is now enjoyed around the world in powders, teas, capsules and culinary dishes.
Traditionally, in particular Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Lion's Mane has been used to:

Support overall vitality
It has traditionally been regarded as a nourishing food that supports general wellbeing and helps maintain balance within the body.
Support the mind
Historically, practitioners believed Lion's Mane could help nourish the mind and mental clarity as part of an overall healthy lifestyle.
Support healthy ageing
As a nutritious mushroom, Lion's Mane has traditionally been included in diets intended to support vitality later in life.
Support overall balance
In TCM, it's valued for supporting balance, rather than targeting a single symptom or condition.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q) Why do you not sell Organic Lion's Mane?
A) Our Lion's Mane and the other powders are sourced from certified organic suppliers. However, until our own organic certification is complete, we are unable to market or label our products as organic. We are currently working towards certification and look forward to updating our packaging once the process is complete.
Q) What does Lion's Mane taste like?
A) Lion's Mane has a mild, slightly earthy flavour that blends well with coffee, matcha, hot chocolate and smoothies. Adding a sweetener such as honey or sugar can help balance the earthy flavour of lion's mane powder, creating a smoother and more enjoyable taste.
Q) Can I add Lion's Mane to coffee?
A) Yes. Many people enjoy stirring Lion's Mane powder into coffee, especially with frothed milk or a plant-based alternative. We recommend adding it into Matcha Latte.
Q) Does Lion's Mane dissolve completely?
A) As a whole mushroom powder, it may not dissolve entirely. Using a milk frother, whisk or blender helps create a smoother drink.
Q) Can I use it in recipes?
A) Absolutely. Lion's Mane powder can be added to porridge, overnight oats, pancakes, energy balls and baked goods.
